The Federal Association
Executive Board and Association Council
The Executive Board of the bff comprises at least two women representatives. They are elected every three years by the General Meeting.
The current members of the Executive Board are:
- Jutta Wienand, member of staff of a women’s counselling centre in Neustadt am Rübenberge (Lower Saxony)
- Ursula Schele, member of staff of the rape crisis centre in Kiel (Schleswig-Holstein)
The most important body of the bff is its Association Council. It is composed of representatives of the individual federal states – usually one representative of the rape crisis centres and one representative of the women’s counselling centres respectively. Ideally these representatives are delegated by their Federal State Working Groups (LAG).
The great regional diversity in the Council guarantees that the bff represents the women’s counselling centres and rape crisis centres from across Germany.
The Association Council holds meetings twice a year and takes the important decisions between the general meetings.
